Scotch Universe Callisto IX is a whisky released by Scotch Universe gmbh, a German company active on the international scene that in this case has bottled a distillate from Islay (most probably from Caol Ila) after aging it for 8 years in first filling barrels that had previously hosted Marsala wine.

TASTING NOTES - SCOTCH UNIVERSE CALLISTO IX

Nose

smoke and smog, very marine, coastal and saline. Barbecue with a delicate sweetness of fruit, such as ripe peaches. Very intense. The sensations are even stronger with an empty glass.

Palate

Again very intense and coastal, with a side of red fruit and very ripe stone fruit, sticky, very good. The high ABV gives a great intensity and duration of the sweet sip.

Finish

good duration, savory and tasty, with red fruit and ripe peach that resonate in the mouth together with peat and a good salinity.

Scotch Universe Callisto IX is overall a product in which peat and fruit coexist with good consistency and intensity of aromas. Amazing.
