Kamiki

Kamiki is a Japanese blended malt, which is made in the Kamiki distillery, located near the city of Nara. The word “Kamiki” translates to “Breath of God”. This product is created from a blend of whiskeys that originate outside of Japan. Once finished, the blend is aged in “yoshino-sugi” barrels, made of Japanese cedar.

TASTING NOTES – KAMIKI

Nose

Scents of white pepper and sweet mentholated balsamic herbs, which gradually become more intense. There is also a veiled nuance of peat present. After a few moments, apple and a hint of citrus, where the lemon stands out, follow.

Palate

Oily. It is spicy, with aromas of white pepper and chili, followed by honey and a hint of unripe hazelnut.

Finish

Of medium persistence. Wood and honey, together with a vegetal note.

Overall, Kamiki is a Japanese whiskey with a good balance and flavor intensity. The ABV is well chosen for this blend. Interesting.
