Ardbeg 10yo is one of the most iconic whisky of the Ardbeg distillery: it has been in the core-range since 2000 and represents a symbolic bottle for the island of Islay. There are many batches available, this one is from 2015.
strong and coastal peat, followed by vanilla, cocoa and a blend of black pepper and cinnamon. An intense note of iodine emerges at the end.
medium-high intensity with strong aroma of peat, vanilla, black pepper and paprika. Notes of citrus fruits, lemon above all, complete the aromatic palette.

Overall, the Ardbeg Ten is an honest and valid product. It's a bit monolithic, given the limited aromatic palette and the contained complexity, but it still is a good and iconic whisky.
